Rick Rescorla was the Security Manager for Morgan Stanley who was located in the south tower of the World Trade Centre, New York. Rick was able to foresee the risks associated with being a tenant in an iconic building. Rick ensured through planning and education that the staff of Morgan Stanley were sufficiently trained and assessed in emergency evacuation drills. In the lead up to the events of 9/11, the employees of Morgan Stanley conducted regular emergency preparedness training in line with the building risks identified through regular security risk assessments.
